Press release: NEASC Accreditation

14th January 2026

Amity International School Amsterdam Achieves Full NEASC Accreditation

Amity International School Amsterdam is proud to announce that it has been awarded full accreditation by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC), one of the world’s most respected international school accreditation bodies.

This achievement marks a major milestone in the school’s development and confirms that Amity meets internationally recognised standards for educational quality, student wellbeing, governance, and continuous improvement.

“NEASC accreditation is a powerful endorsement of the high‑quality education we provide,” said Adrian Frost, Principal at Amity International School Amsterdam. “It reflects the strength of our community, our commitment to student wellbeing, and our dedication to delivering an outstanding learning experience for every child.”

Significant benefit

For families, NEASC accreditation brings an important advantage: it creates an additional diploma pathway for students. This means that, alongside the IB Diploma Programme, students will benefit from internationally recognised school transcripts and diplomas that are trusted by universities around the world.

This added pathway strengthens academic portability for families who may relocate internationally and enhances university admissions prospects for graduates. More detailed information about the diploma pathway will be shared with families in the coming weeks.

Rigorous two-year accreditation process

The accreditation follows an extensive two-year review involving self‑evaluation, evidence gathering, community consultation, and several external visits by experienced international school leaders. NEASC commended the school’s inclusive culture, strong sense of belonging, student wellbeing, inquiry‑based learning, and sustainability leadership.

“Achieving NEASC accreditation is not the end of a journey; it is the beginning of an exciting new chapter,” said Adrian Frost. “It challenges us to continue improving, innovating, and ensuring that every decision we make is in the best interests of our students.”

Looking ahead

The school will now integrate NEASC’s recommendations into its forthcoming Strategy 2030, which will guide future development, investment, and educational priorities.

Amity International School Amsterdam extends its gratitude to students, staff, parents, and governors for their support and engagement throughout the accreditation process.
