Uniforms

A shared school uniform strengthens our sense of community, supports equality, and helps students feel prepared for learning each day. All students at Amity International School Amsterdam are expected to follow the uniform policy during school hours, school events, and school trips unless otherwise communicated.

Uniform Policy Overview

• The uniform should be from the Amity Uniform selection provided by the school’s supplier: students are not allowed to wear other items that match the uniform.
• The uniform should be clean and tidy at all times and it should be worn in full, to and from school, as well as in public.
• No cardigans or long jumpers which hang below the jacket are permitted
• Coats, scarves, hats and gloves should not be worn once in school
• Amity ID badge/wristband must be worn visibly as part of the uniform
• Jewellery is not permitted. This includes friendship bands. Students may wear one pair of plain small stud earrings in their earlobes, as long as they are able to remove them independently during PE classes for safety reasons.
• The PE uniform is worn for PE and Sports lessons.
• Hair must be neat in style and natural in colour. It must be clean, tidy and brushed. Extravagant or ostentatious hairstyles are not permitted.
• Students may wear a navy, black, or brown hair band. No other coloured hair accessories or ties are permitted.
• Senior School students are expected to wear their uniform correctly: shirt tucked in, top shirt button done up and tie worn at the top of the collar
