Safeguarding
We expect all employees, parents, volunteers, and contracted service providers to safeguard and promote the welfare of our students and to maintain an attitude of vigilance for possible signs of abuse and/or neglect of students. Each one of us has a duty of care.
We have established a rigorous vetting process for all employees with regard to child protection which includes a "Certificate of Conduct" (Verklaring Omtrent Gedrag) from the Dutch Minister of Legal Protection. It is school policy to perform thorough background checks through actively seeking confidential references for all new employees. This means that all new staff will be subject to enhanced DBS clearance, or similar depending on their country, identity checks, qualification checks and employment checks to include an exploration of any gaps within employment, two satisfactory references and registration with the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) (if applicable).
